The Carroll Independent School District named Jeremy Glenn the lone finalist to replace retiring Superintendent Lane Ledbetter. Glenn, who is also a published author and university lecturer, has been superintendent of Granbury ISD for the past six years and previously led Waxahachie and Nacogdoches-Central Heights ISDs. Prior to his 17 years as a superintendent, he was an assistant superintendent at Trinity ISD.

Another Texas superintendent who found a new home is Jeni Neatherlin, who is the lone finalist to become the next leader of Hutto ISD. Neatherlin has been superintendent of Granger ISD since 2021 and also served as chief operations officer for Salado ISD. She oversaw bond-funded construction projects in her prior two districts.

Several educators are getting their first chances at the superintendency. Assistant Superintendent Matthew Mazzoni takes the helm of New Jersey’s Millville Public Schools on Sept. 1.

Sherman ISD in Texas will promote Deputy Superintendent Thomas O’Neal to the top spot. O’Neal previously served as deputy superintendent, chief financial officer, assistant superintendent of curriculum and instruction, assistant superintendent of human resources and high school principal in Anna ISD.

McCollum has been Michigan City’s associate superintendent since 2016 and was previously the principal of Michigan City High School, where he helped establish early college and honors college programs.

In New Hampshire, Christine Boston has been named the next superintendent of the Dover School District. She will continue to serve as assistant superintendent until July 2025, when Superintendent William Harbron retires.
