Diversity chief for K-12 military schools under investigation following racially charged posts

The U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) told media outlets the agency is “aware” of allegations against the department’s diversity chief for K-12 programs offered to the children of DOD staff, noting the appropriate personnel would be “reviewing” the matter.

Kelisa Wing is the diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) czar for the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA), a K-12 education arm of the DOD that provides services to DOD personnel, such as operating the military’s K-12 educational programs worldwide.

Wing is involved in many functions of the department, from curriculum development and assessment to hiring and professional development, according to the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA).
