Cybersecurity, long range strategic planning and the always-popular Tech Share keynote highlight the final day of the 2021 Future of Education Technology Conference®.
The day begins at 11 a.m. with District Administration‘s own CIO Lenny Schad’s keynote that will help superintendents understand the growing cybersecurity threats school districts face and how to reduce the risk.
Next up is Bob Ward, president and CEO of the nonprofit Florida Council of 100, a group of business leaders that help steer state policy. Ward will detail the organization’s recent reporting that should guide education leaders in chart path through the seismic changes coming in the next few years.
In the afternoon, attendees can learn about new ed-tech software and devices at FETC’s always popular and always humorous Tech Share live keynote, which takes place at 2 pm. The presentations features through leaders Adam Bellow, Hall Davidson, Leslie Fisher and Kathy Schrock.
The day, and the FETC conference, conclude with Peter Gorman’s keynote on how district leaders can align their systems to ensure all educators are working toward the goals of high achievement.
Many school districts do great work, but in isolation, says Gorman, the superintendent in residence for District Administration Leadership Institute and manager of the Institute’s National Superintendents Academy.
Three districts that were recognized the District Administration’s District of Distinction program—which recognizes innovations in K-12 operations—will make presentations during the day.
Beyond the keynotes, attendees can attend thought leader and solution provider sessions that cover learning to read, creating save and engaging virtual classes, supporting social emotional learning, and other topics.
Attendees can also meet up in the virtual Networking Lounge or interact through chat and video. FETC’s AI-driven platform suggests peer matches based on job roles, industry, conference goals and more.
