Los Angeles USD approved Curriculum Associates‘ i-Ready and Ready Mathematics for English language learners in grades 6 through 8. The district also selected i-Ready Diagnostic and Instruction to provide evidence-based interventions for reading and math in K-8.
The Alabama State Department of Education will use the PowerSchool student information system to drive learner growth and to simplify grade and attendance record reporting. PowerSchool’s local teams will assist all district and school boards with system implementation.
The Idaho State Department of Education approved IXL Learning‘s Language Arts personalized curriculum to develop writing and reading comprehension skills in K-5. Teachers will use IXL to view students’ reading levels in real time and to identify the concepts learners don’t understand. IXL is aligned to the Idaho Content Standards.
Durango School District R-9 (Colorado) chose the itslearning LMS to deliver personalized and competency-based learning. Students and parents can use the platform to access numerous resources, such as standards, performance indicators and scoring rubrics. The curriculum and communication management platform will also track and report student progress.
Kansas City Public Schools (Missouri) is the first U.S. district to join Social Solutions Global and Ballmer Group‘s initiative to share data with organizations and schools. The district will collaborate with local businesses, and students will receive additional support from industry partners.
Montgomery County Public Schools (Maryland) will begin a three-year rollout of Great Minds‘ Eureka Math curriculum for pre-K through grade 5 in the 2019-20 school year.
Sunnyside USD (Arizona) transitioned from managing individual desktops to pools of computers using HiveIO‘s Hive Fabric hyperconverged fabric solution. HiveIO, which helped the district move from a multivendor platform to a single-vendor platform, provides persistent user profiles and simplifies management to roll out updates.
