WestEd, a nonprofit education research agency, conducted a study aimed at understanding how students’ use of the Legends of Learning platform was associated with their science achievement.

A study conducted across four school districts with 24,000 students revealed that those who utilized Legends of Learning achieved significantly higher scores on end-of-year state science exams. Students who used Legends of Learning the most experienced a 25 percentile point increase compared to peers who did not utilize the game-based learning platform.

As the level of Legends of Learning science program usage increased, science achievement also increased.
