Here’s a look at one of the Top Ed Tech Products of 2022:
eGlass Transparent Writing Glass with Built-in Camera
What it is:eGlass is an illuminated transparent writing glass with a built-in camera that captures your face and writing in the same picture, boosting student engagement. An integrated camera captures writing and the teacher’s face. The image is ‘flipped’ so writing reads left to right and LED lighting is injected into the glass. Live video is displayed on a projector or flat panel. Any existing lesson plans can be brought on eGlass and written on.
Why we like it: This is a very innovative product. We like the fact that teachers are facing their students and it can link to any device in the classroom. The students seem genuinely engaged with this approach. It provides every student a highly-engaging learning experience, in-person or online. eGlass is the new whiteboard with the enhanced capability of allowing the teacher to write on the board while facing and making eye contact with their students. This would be a dream tool for many teachers both online and in the classroom. Students can get visual, audio and SEL feedback simultaneously while learning new content.
