People Watch: Syracuse, New York, school system picks superintendent

 

New York’s North Syracuse Central School District has chosen a new leader from within. Daniel D. Bowles, currently associate superintendent for teaching and learning, will begin his new position at the end of the school year. He is replacing Superintendent Annette Speach, who is retiring. Read more.

Laurie Bandlow has been appointed as superintendent of the Brewster Central School District in New York, effective August 1. She currently serves as superintendent of Paulsboro’s school system in New Jersey. Read more.

After a year without a permanent superintendent, School Administrative District 75 in Maine will finally have a new one as of July 1. Shawn Chabot, who has served as assistant superintendent for the state’s Lewiston Public Schools since 2017, will head up SAD 75. Read more.
