Regional Superintendent Ian Saltzman named superintendent of Everett School District

Palm Beach County, Florida, Regional Superintendent Ian Saltzman will be the next superintendent of the public schools in Everett, Washington.

Saltzman is expected to take the position in July. He will oversee 26 schools educating 20,000 students in and around Everett, about 25 miles north of Seattle.

Saltzman, 53, started his education career in Palm Beach County in 1989, first as a teacher at Logger’s Run Middle School in Boca Raton. He went on to serve as principal of North Grade Elementary, Carver Middle, Palm Beach Central High and Lake Worth High before becoming a district administrator in 2010.

Saltzman is a graduate of DA’s National Superintendent Academy, which equips aspiring K12 superintendents with the skills, systems and relationships they need to successfully step up to the superintendency and, once in the role, to drive significant positive transformations in culture and achievement for their districts.
