After six years leading the state’s Wauseon Exempted Village School District, Larry Brown is taking over the top job at Fort Recovery Local Schools.After six years leading the state’s Wauseon Exempted Village School District, Larry Brown is taking over the top job at Fort Recovery Local Schools.

The Fort Recovery Board of Education in Ohio has hired Larry Brown as superintendent of schools. Most recently with the state’s Wauseon Exempted Village School District, Brown replaces Justin Firks, who resigned in April to become the new superintendent at Bethel Local Schools, also in Ohio. Read more.

Tracy Wheeler has been selected as the next superintendent of the Berea City School District in Ohio. She is currently the assistant superintendent of Brunswick City Schools, also in the state. Read more.

The school board of Brownsville ISD in Texas has picked Rene Gutierrez to be the new superintendent, replacing Esperanza Zendejas. Gutierrez has served for 10 years as superintendent of Edinburg Consolidated Independent School District, also in the state. Read more.
