People Watch: Fulton Public Schools’ superintendent to retire

Jacque Cowherd, who leads the Missouri district, is stepping down in June 2020

Superintendent Jacque Cowherd of Missouri’s Fulton Public Schools has announced he will retire in June 2020. He has headed up district for the past 11 years and worked in education for 43 years. Read more.

In other people news:

John B. Gordon III is the new superintendent for Virginia’s Suffolk Public Schools. He has served as chief of schools at Chesterfield County Public Schools, also in the state, since 2017. Gordon replaces Deran Whitney, who led the Suffolk school system since 2010. Read more.
