Ann Schloss, currently associate superintendent of Elyria School District, will move into leadership role after the Ohio district’s board members voted to reassign positions. Tom Jama will step down as superintendent, citing medical reasons, and assume the title of assistant superintendent pending his retirement at the end of the year. Read more

Members of Buford City Schools’ board of education named Robert Downs as the sole finalist for the Georgia district’s top post. Currently the assistant superintendent of Cobb County Schools, Downs will replace former Buford Superintendent Geye Hamby, who resigned in August. Read more
