$10M committed to Code.org as K12 survey finds obstacles to teaching computer science

Microsoft is committing $10 million between now and 2020 to help Code.org provide teachers with professional development on computer science (CS), and to promote CS-friendly policies at the state level, between now and 2020. A YouGov survey found 88 percent of the participating K12 teachers agreed CS is critical to student success in the workplace, but 19 percent said their students aren’t taught it at all.
