People Watch: Tim Winter to head up Washington district

 

The South Kitsap school board selected Tim Winter as the Washington district’s new superintendent. He has been superintendent of the Clarkston School District, also in Washington, since 2014. Winter will replace outgoing Superintendent Karst Brandsma, who is retiring at the end of this school year. Read more.

In other people news:

Yakima School District alumnus Trevor Greene will lead the Washington district, taking over for retiring Superintendent Jack Irion. Greene has been executive director of human resources at Washington’s Highline Public Schools since 2015. Read more.

Currently assistant superintendent with Clark County School District in Nevada, Jesse Welsh has been selected to lead Arizona’s Paradise Valley USD, which operates 45 schools. Welsh, who started in Clark County as a teacher in 1999, will begin his superintendent position in July. Read more.
