On Sept. 8, 2025, CoSN, in partnership with AASA, will launch Season 8 of the EmpowerED Superintendents edLeader Panel Series, sponsored by ClassLink, and broadcast on edWeb.net.
The 2025-2026 monthly broadcast season begins with a two-part series focused on the CoSN 2025 Driving K-12 Innovation Report, which identifies the hurdles, accelerators and technology enablers impacting education today. Three leading-edge superintendents will engage in conversation in this two-part series and share their perspectives on how the areas covered in the CoSN Driving K-12 Innovation Report play out in their school districts.
The superintendents who will be featured in both episodes of the two-part broadcast series include Karen Cheser, CoSN 2025 Superintendent of the Year, who leads Durango Public Schools; Kelly May-Vollmar, superintendent, Desert Sands USD; and Glenn Robbins, superintendent of Brigantine Public School District.
In addition to the three superintendents, Laura Geringe, project director for the CoSN Driving K-12 Innovation and EdTech Innovation Project, will be a featured panelist in part one of the two-part series. Ann McMullan, project director for the CoSN/AASA EmpowerED Superintendents Initiative, serves as the panel moderator.
Part 1 of the series, which airs Sept. 8 at 5 p.m., will focus on the current hurdles (challenges) and accelerators (megatrends) impacting innovation in K12 education.
