Shannon McClintock Miller is the innovation director of instructional technology and library media at Van Meter Community School District in Iowa. She is also the Future Ready Librarians spokesperson, working with librarians, educators and students around the world as an international speaker, consultant and author. McClintock Miller is a featured speaker for FETC.
A favorite reading celebration at Van Meter is the You’ve Been Book’d program. The goal, says McClintock Miller, is to get more books into classrooms. With a bag for each grade level, kindergarten through fifth grade, students and teachers read, discuss and trade books throughout the year, checking off the ones they’ve read as they go.
“With all of us being at home right now, I thought it would be fun and special to take our You’ve Been Book’d program online,” says McClintock Miller, who selected a variety of e-books, from picture books to nonfiction to graphic novels. Click here to read more.
