Shannon McClintock Miller is the innovation director of instructional technology and library media at Van Meter Community School District in Iowa. She is also the Future Ready Librarians spokesperson, working with librarians, educators and students around the world as an international speaker, consultant and author. With remote learning taking place around the world, it is more important than ever for librarians to take the lead in the selection, integration, organization and sharing of digital resources and tools to support transformational teaching and learning, says McClintock Miller. That is why she is working with teachers to curate interactive and engaging digital resources and tools and including them on her school system’s library and continuous learning site.
Recently, she collaborated with a third-grade teacher on the Geography Fun Choice Board that brings together resources for students to explore—giving them a choice in how they learn about geography. Click here to read more.
