A local school district hired dozens of new teachers for the upcoming school year, many of whom are not familiar with the city, and its neighborhoods.
On Wednesday, Hamilton City School leaders spent the day acclimating new teachers ahead of their first day in the classroom.
“You know when you have a district that has almost 10,000 students and a community of over 60,000 residents, we’ve got individuals coming here that know very little about Hamilton, and we know for them to be successful, they need to understand the community and understand our parents, and this is the first step in doing that,” Mike Holbrook, Superintendent for Hamilton City Schools said.
