Tupelo High School receives threat for third day in a row

Tupelo High School has received a threat for a third day in a row.

“A digital threat directed to Tupelo High School has put administrators on high alert and led to increased security throughout campus,” TPSD communications director Gregg Ellis said Friday morning.

No lockdown has been issued and checkout procedures remain normal, but outside food orders will not be permitted to be brought to the school Friday.

A similar digital threat caused the school to be put on lockdown for around 15 minutes Thursday. It was lifted just after noon.

The first threat, received by THS Wednesday morning, caused the school to evacuate students, faculty and staff around 8 a.m.
