Gov. Gretchen Whitmer on Wednesday cheered news that most schools are on track to meet her March 1 goal of offering some form of in-person learning.
When and how to resume in-person learning has been a controversial question that the state left to individual school districts to decide over the summer.
Some districts embraced it, opening for in-person learningon schedule in the fall. Others began the year online and phased in classroom instruction later. Some districts, notably Ann Arbor, have yet to offer in-person learning, despite pleas from some parents in the district.
