N.J. school district where 14-year-old died by suicide faces another bullying lawsuit

A New Jersey school district where a 14-year-old died by suicide earlier this year has been served with another lawsuit accusing officials of failing to investigate harassment and bullying.

The complaint — filed by an unnamed parent of a student with autism — alleges the student in the Central Regional School District in Ocean County “has been subjected to a hostile, intimidating and abusive educational environment” since starting middle school in fall 2021.
