Mass. district suddenly loses six of its seven school board members

The Uxbridge School Committee is currently down to just one member following the resignation of six of its seven members in the last week.

Former committee member Patrick Tuer said on social media he resigned because he’s no longer able to give the role the time it deserves. In addition, former member Christine Folan Pezzulo said she feels she’ll be able to have more of an impact as a parent rather than a member of the school committee.

Still, six of seven members have left their seats, and Superintendent Michael Baldassarre wants to know why.
