Orleans Parish School Board announces Superintendent Dr. Avis Williams stepping down

Bryan Drost, Kristi Graves, Tammy Hambrick and Lynne Kulich - November 15, 2024

“Dr. Williams brought new energy and enthusiasm to NOLA-PS, and our schools’ improved performance reflects her unwavering commitment to excellence,” said OPSB President Katie Baudouin in an issued statement. Williams said she will write and consult once she leaves the position.
