Superintendent Carl Dolente knows two important things about promoting student success: Classroom relationships work, one-size-fits-all cookie-cutters don't.

The state's "Opportunity Scholarship Program" was created by the General Assembly in 2013. Two years later, the state Supreme Court ruled in a separate lawsuit that challenged the very idea of the program, declaring that the plaintiffs there failed to prove the program violated the state constitution.

"For students, math is a boring subject," said one Florida parent. "If they don't get it, they get turned off; they don't want to deal with it."

District Administration even went so far as to ask ChatGPT to write a "believable" phishing email targeting a school. Needless to say, the program didn't hesitate.
