FETC 2020 STEM Excellence Awards now accepting applications

Winners will be selected based on the use of interdisciplinary curriculum, as well as the collaboration, design, problem-solving and STEM experiences offered at the school

The FETC 2020 conference has announced that it is now accepting applications for the STEM Excellence Awards, which will be presented during the keynote session at the conference in Miami on Friday, January 17, 2020.

The FETC STEM Excellence Awards were created to recognize distinction and innovation in the field of STEM education at the primary, middle and high school levels, with nominees and winners selected from each level. STEM is a curriculum based on the idea of educating students in four specific disciplines — science, technology, engineering and mathematics — in an interdisciplinary and applied approach. The STEM Excellence Awards will be evaluated based on the use of interdisciplinary curriculum, as well as the collaboration, design, problem solving and STEM experiences offered at each school.

All applications for consideration must be completed by each school applicant online before November 1, 2019. The FETC STEM Advisory Board will evaluate all applications and notify the main contacts for each application.

Nominees and winners will be selected from each of the primary, middle and high school levels.

Nominees and winners in all 3 categories will be recognized at the FETC 2020 Keynote Session.  Winners in all three categories will be announced during the keynote session on Friday, January 17, 2020.  Each finalist school will present their exemplar programs in the STEM Theater at FETC live on Thursday and Friday, January 16th and 17th, 2020.
