LRP has released its request for proposals to speak at the 44th Annual National Institute® on Legal Issues of Educating Individuals with Disabilities, which will be April 16-19, 2023, at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.

The deadline to submit your proposal is June 27, 2022.

The Institute has earned a reputation for providing high-quality professional development, hosting nationally recognized speakers, who guide attendees on how to convert legal mandates into best practices.

Attendees of the Institute include state special education directors, Section 504 coordinators, superintendents, school principals, school psychologists, school and parent attorneys, state agency personnel, education specialists, charter school administrators, paraprofessionals, teachers, social workers, mediators, hearing officers, and parents/student advocates.

Presentations should consist of discussion topics on special education laws, highlight current challenges, and provide proven practices for compliance. Specific strategies for improvement, innovative approaches, best practices, and discussions of specific disabilities are all topics of interest to the conference’s audience.
