A Central Florida elementary-school secretary on her way home from a bar where she drank several beers Wednesday night was charged with DUI manslaughter after fatally hitting a man on Interstate 4, authorities said.
Lucretia Bruno, 46, of Lakeland was “driving erratically and drifting over the right fog line several times” before she struck a white 1999 Ford F250 and the pickup’s driver, a Holiday man, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office said.
The crash took place about 8:45 p.m. east of the West 10th Street overpass, in northwest Lakeland.
