Branchburg Township School District (New Jersey) educators will participate in Discovery Education‘s three-year Digital Leader Corps professional learning initiative to create digital teaching strategies for the district.
The Ohio Department of Education has approved the Curriculum Associates i-Ready Diagnostic online program to identify gifted students in grades 2 through 8. The department also approved i-Ready Diagnostic for third-grade reading assessments, and for teacher and principal evaluations.
Chicago Public Schools will receive free VIPKid Mandarin, Lingo Bus online immersive courses, and access to a virtual pen-pal program with students in China. More than 10,000 students at 37 campuses in the district study Mandarin.

The Texas State Board of Education approved the Texas Mirrors and Windows language arts program by EMC School, a division of Carnegie Learning, for use in grades 6 through 8 for the 2019-20 school year. The program meets the new Texas state and English Language Proficiency standards for ELLs.
The School District of Philadelphia will pilot WURRLYedu‘s music education platform as part of a recently launched framework that ensures access to arts education. The platform consists of a student mobile app and a teacher web portal with curriculum materials.
Districts in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and other Midwestern states are participating in U.S. Cellular and JASON Learning‘s Storm Sanctuary Challenge during the 2018-19 school year. The program inspires students to create a connected space for communities facing natural disasters.
