Here’s a look at one of the Top Ed Tech Products of 2020:

What it is: With Bakpax, teachers can create and distribute assignments, and students can upload their schoolwork by taking pictures on their mobile phones. Bakpax then uses AI to read handwriting and grade student homework and tests automatically. Because the grading is automated, we can provide instantaneous feedback to students, improving learning outcomes. We aim to save teachers hours of grading time, while giving them deeper insights into student performance through daily formative data.

We also make it possible for teachers to bridge the access divide with their students, because they don’t need a computer to submit their work. Even if they only have access to a parent’s phone, Bakpax still works. Plus, recognizing that safety is a primary concern during COVID-19, our solution makes it possible for teachers to engage students without having to handle any of their homework.

Why we like it: Instant automatic grading is great for teachers. Great tool while working remote and free for teachers and students to use. Timely feedback helps with personalization and individualization. The data collection dashboard is very good for teachers. Nice capabilities for students to have options to turn in work, handwriting, photo, PDF, etc. It can read a child’s handwriting and grade assignments automatically. A true teacher timesaver.

As always, we encourage you to perform your own due diligence before making any investments.
