Literacy: Engaging students at home
Shannon McClintock Miller is the innovation director of instructional technology and library media at Van Meter Community School District in Iowa. She is also the Future Ready Librarians spokesperson, working with librarians, educators and students around the world as an international speaker, consultant and author. McClintock Miller is a featured speaker for FETC.
“Every day I am looking for the best resources and experiences to share with our students,” says McClintock Miller. Two of those are Lightbox, a pre-K through high school interactive e-book platform, and AV2 World Languages, a K-3 audio book program. Follett Learning has partnered with Weigl Publishers Inc. to offer them free to schools worldwide through June 30.
These resources “make it easy for families to use at home” and also “will play an important part in the learning, reading and fun that our students will have during this time,” McClintock Miller adds. Click here to read more.
