The Community Schools Model puts the phrase, “It takes a village” to practice. Join this DA Webinar to understand how Hamilton County Schools (TN), Harford County Schools (MD), and Lancaster Public Schools (CA) are building sustainable whole-child systems that are informed by student voice and leverage community partners to proactively support the physical, social, and mental health of our students.
Three districts will share different journeys to meeting their community’s unique needs, while leveraging its assets. Their approaches are united by an emphasis on data-informed decision making to transform school sites into hubs for holistic community wellness.
Key takeaways:
- The key pillars of the community school model and how they can be adapted for different community needs
- How to engage students and the community in collaborative planning around their assets and needs
- How to partner with community organizations make schools hubs for physical, social, and mental health support
