Atlanta Public Schools is launching a new accelerated literacy pilot at four elementary schools this school year.
The district says the program includes longer literacy blocks, targeted early interventions and specialized teacher training to help young students build reading skills faster.
Heritage Academy is among the schools participating in the initiative.
