Dion Betts to lead Chambersburg

A Philadelphia educator has been tapped as the next superintendent of the Chambersburg Area School District.

Dion E. Betts was appointed Tuesday night by the Chambersburg Area School Board to assume his new role effective July 1. He will replace Joseph Padasak, who is retiring.

Betts has been an assistant superintendent with the Philadelphia School District since 2013, according to a Chambersburg school district news release.
