Atlanta Public Schools and the Grove Park Foundation teamed up to provide the funding for a new Atlanta elementary school, a school-based health clinic and a YMCA Early Learning Center. The Woodson Park Academy, which merges Woodson Elementary and Grove Park Intermediate, is expected to open next year. Read more.

The Washington, D.C.-based Center for Budget and Policy Priorities recently released figures that show Connecticut‘s capital spending on school construction dropped by 45% from 2008 to 2017. Connecticut was also one of five states that cut school capital spending “drastically”—by half or more—as a share of the state’s economy. Read more.
