Here’s where dads are the main homework helpers
Half of the dads who help their kids with homework said they get stumped by the assignments, a survey has found.
That may also mean they are getting stumped more often: More than two-thirds of dads reported helping kids with homework much more often now than had before COVID, according to a survey of 1,000 parents by Brainly, an online learning network.
And nearly 80% of these dads said they now have a newfound appreciation for teachers after helping their kids with homework during school closures.
“During the school closures and shifts to online learning over the past year, fathers have been stepping up in a big way when it comes to things like homework help and household duties,” says Patrick Quinn, a parenting expert at Brainly, father and former teacher.
