ROI on SEL

Many educators have accepted that SEL curricula can have a positive impact on everything from student mental and physical well-being to academics, attendance and graduation rates.

In fact, a February 2015 study from the Center for Benefit-Cost Studies of Education at Teachers College, Columbia University, concluded that, on average, every dollar invested in SEL programming yields $11 in long-term benefits.

These benefits, says the report, include reduced juvenile crime, higher lifetime earnings, and better mental and physical health.
