Prohibiting Ohio schools from eliminating busing during school year

A local state representative wants to make sure school districts won’t change their busing policy during the school year.

Don Manning plans to introduce his bill, which he’s calling the West Branch Rule.

It would prohibit districts from eliminating busing in the middle of the school year. Districts would also have to keep busing from the previous academic year if they want a levy on the ballot.
