Vernier Software & Technology Supports Science and STEM Educators with Free Professional Development Workshops

Hands-on training helps science and STEM educators integrate data-collection technology into their curriculum
Monday, January 21, 2019 - 9:00 am

BEAVERTON, Oregon, January 21, 2019 — Vernier Software & Technology will host 20 free hands-on workshops this spring to help science and STEM educators learn how to integrate Vernier data-collection technology into their curriculum. Led by a former science educator with years of classroom experience, each four-hour workshop will provide educators with the opportunity to explore age-appropriate, classroom-ready experiments using Vernier technology, including the award-winning Go Direct® wireless sensors.

“These workshops provide a great professional development opportunity for teachers, whether they are new to data collection or just looking for a refresher,” said John Wheeler, CEO of Vernier Software & Technology. “Teachers learn new skills and collaborate with fellow educators as they test out new technologies and experiments that can easily be incorporated into their physics, chemistry, biology, environmental science, Earth science, and middle school science classes.”

All attendees will receive free training, a complimentary meal, and a $50 gift certificate to be used toward their next Vernier purchase. Attendees will also receive instructions to download the Vernier Workshop Training Manual, which includes ready-to-use experiment handouts for all science disciplines.
