Boston– September 5, 2019– One of the biggest challenges for English Language Arts teachers is being able to properly identify, and effectively support, the unique needs of students with dyslexia. On Tuesday, September 10, Lexia Learning will sponsor a webinar led by Dr. Suzanne Carreker,CALT-QI, Principal Educational Content Lead at Lexia Learning, entitled: Teaching Students with Dyslexia: Early Warning Signs and Effective Intervention with Structured Literacy.
Hosted by edWeb.net, the webinar will feature Dr. Carreker discussing how dyslexia impacts the reading process, how educators can recognize the early warning signs of dyslexia at different grade levels, and how to provide effective interventions with structured literacy to ensure all students become successful readers and confident learners.
“It’s important to identify and support the unique literacy needs of students with dyslexia because of the impact of dyslexia on reading as well as on self-esteem, motivation, and overall academic success,” said Dr. Carreker.
