ATLANTA – Apr. 12, 2018 –  IO Education, a market leader in helping educators use data to improve outcomes, has received two awards from ComputED Gazette’s 24th Annual Best Educational Software Awards (BESSIE).

The BESSIE Awards by ComputED Gazette target innovative and content-rich programs and websites (including apps for iOS and Android) that provide parents and teachers with the technology to foster educational excellence. Some selection criteria are academic content, technical merit, subject approach and management system.

“Receiving these awards is truly an honor and reinforces our mission to help educators maximize their impact on student outcomes,” said Michael Williamson, chief executive officer of IO Education. “Technology is a powerful tool to help at all levels of the educational system and we are continuing to aggressively invest in our platforms and solutions for educators.”

IO Education’s Insights platform, recognized as the best district-wide data reporting system, is a student data solution that breaks down data silos and makes data actionable for educators. Insights aggregates data from disparate systems, provides role-based data visualization dashboards and reports and then allows educators to quickly assign students or groups of students to action plans.

IO Education’s Assessment platform, recognized as the best online assessment solution, is a comprehensive interim and formative assessment solution that aligns with state and district standards. Educators can quickly and easily create, deliver, score and analyze assessments to determine a student’s strengths and weaknesses to better inform instruction and drive student growth.
