Impero Wins a 2020 Tech & Learning Award of Excellence
Impero’s student safety tools recognized in the Best Enterprise Solution category
Austin, TX, July 13, 2020 – Student safety leader Impero was named a winner of the 2020 Tech & Learning Awards of Excellence. Impero’s student safety tools, which include Impero Education Pro and Impero EdAware were recognized in the Best Enterprise Solution category.
“Student safety is a top concern of schools, which need the proper tools to keep students safe and productive in an increasingly digital environment,” said Justin Reilly, CEO of Impero Software. “We are honored to have our student safety tools recognized by Tech & Learning for helping schools keep students safe online, both in the classroom and during distance learning.”
The Tech & Learning Awards of Excellence, which is organized by Tech & Learning Magazine, recognizes exceptional edtech products and services. The Awards of Excellence celebrates products released or re-released over the last year. Products are judged by tech-savvy educators who evaluate each product on its ability to solve a problem, its uniqueness in the market, its price value and its suitability for use.
Impero’s student safety tools provide schools with a comprehensive approach to detecting and managing incidents and concerns in both the physical and digital world. Its range of student device monitoring tools help teachers identify what students are accessing online in real-time. Its keyword libraries and concern reporting features simplify the recording and management of key information surrounding student mental health and wellbeing, such as depressive episodes, nutrition records, or risky online behavior into a single view.
Impero also supports distance learning by allowing teachers to monitor devices and communicate about assignments with students who are learning at home. Utilizing Impero’s web-based interface, staff members can remotely maintain an accurate log of all student concerns, even while schools are closed to ensure nothing is missed. Recent updates include adding a cloud-based version of the software, an app to help teachers record student safety concerns on-the-go, and filtering capabilities to block inappropriate content.
The 2020 Tech & Learning Awards of Excellence is the latest award win for Impero. In 2019, Impero won a Gold Telly Award for its “Chloe’s Story” video, which highlighted the dangers of sexting and bullying. In 2018, Impero won Tech & Learning’s TCEA Best of Show award for Impero Education Pro.
Winners of the 2020 Tech & Learning Awards of Excellence are showcased on Tech & Learning’s website and will be featured in a special section of the magazine. To view the full list of winners, visit https://bit.ly/32jRQtY.
