Austin, TX, Nov. 28, 2018 – Impero Software, providers of remote monitoring and management software for education, has been named a finalist in the Tech & Learning Awards of Excellence program for its flagship product, Impero Education Pro. Impero Education Pro is among 10 finalists in the award program’s “district” category.
The Awards of Excellence was revised this year to feature how products are used in classrooms, schools or districts. Judges also named 10 finalists in “classroom” and “school” categories. Winners in each category will be announced at the TCEA conference, which takes place in February, 2019, in San Antonio. “We partner with school districts across the country and in the United Kingdom to provide solutions to keep students safe and on task when they are using school devices. Our software helps districts make the most of their 1:1 programs, detect potential safety concerns, and promote digital citizenship,” said Impero CEO Richard Fuller. “We are pleased to be recognized by Tech & Learning for our software and the impact it has had on school districts.”
Tech & Learning Awards of Excellence recognizes education technology products making an impact on teaching and learning. Entrants are judged on their uniqueness and on their ability to solve a specific problem.
“To win a Tech & Learning Award of Excellence (AOE) isn’t just a badge of participation. It is an endorsement that your product or service meets the standards of the most innovative edtech educators working in classrooms today,” said Kevin Hogan, Managing Director of Content for T&L in an announcement about the finalists.
In its submission, Impero outlined the role of its product to safeguard students, manage devices and save time for teachers and IT departments. It also highlighted its work in school districts, including the Gilchrist County School District in Florida, which implemented Impero Education Pro when it went 1:1 to support device management and student safety.
Impero Education Pro provides a combination of simple classroom management tools, student safety features and network administration functions to help schools provide effective digital learning environments. Its multi-device monitoring functions, including the ability to remotely view, manage and control devices such as Chromebooks, Windows, Mac and iOS, supports schools with 1:1 programs.
The software’s safety features allow schools to monitor student activity on the school’s network to identify – and alert educators – if students type or search for key words and phrases that may indicate concerns around bullying, self-harm, suicide, mental health and more.
IT administrative functions of Impero Education Pro include the ability to remotely track, monitor, and manage resources across an entire school network. IT administrators can also remotely reset passwords and set computers to power on or off at certain times.
