People Watch: Danny McMurtry to head up Nebraska district

 

Maxwell Public Schools in Nebraska has selected Danny McMurtry as the new superintendent. He will replace Superintendent Todd Rhodes. McMurtry is currently in his sixth year as principal of Madison Middle School, part of Nebraska’s North Platte Public Schools. Read more.

Todd Hamilton will lead Oregon’s Springfield School District, replacing interim Superintendent Bruce Smolnisky. Hamilton has been serving as district superintendent for Creswell schools, also in Oregon, for eight years. Read more.

The Harrisburg School District in South Dakota has concluded its leadership search. Tim Graf, who is currently superintendent of South Dakota’s Milbank School District, will take over from Jim Holbeck, who will step down from the Harrisburg district’s top post in June. Read more.
