New York district chooses Michael Cipolla
Westfield Academy and Central School District Board of Education formally appointed a new superintendent, Michael Cipolla, during its supplemental meeting this week.
Cipolla will officially begin his duties on Jan 1, taking over for David Davison, who will retire at the end of this year. During the meeting, the board also accepted Davison’s retirement with regret and “with great appreciation.”
Cipolla has been an educator for 15 years. He comes to WACS from Randolph School District where he has served as director of instruction and operations for the past two and one-half years. His duties in this position included overseeing curriculum, transportation, facilities and food services.
