The Beaufort County Board of Education voted to name Matthew Cheeseman as superintendent of the Beaufort County Schools. He has led Perquimans County’s schools for the past three years.
Matthew Cheeseman apparently is leaving Perquimans County after three years to become the new superintendent of schools in Beaufort County.
On Thursday, the Beaufort County Board of Education voted unanimously to name Cheeseman superintendent of the Beaufort County Schools, according to a press release from the Beaufort school board.
Cheeseman is slated to start work in Beaufort County in January.
