Legislators are set to take up a bill that would require public schools and charter schools in New Mexico to have at least one full-time, licensed nurse on campus. The bill does allow some exceptions, such as for rural schools with fewer than 250 students or if a part-time nurse was able to fill the position.
Rancho Santa Fe's school board has hired Donna Tripi as the California district's new superintendent. She will replace former Superintendent David Jaffe and interim superintendent Kim Pinkerton. Since 1999, Tripi has served as the principal of La Jolla Elementary School.
