At Kent Intermediate School District in Michigan, the technology has been a game-changer for an 18-year-old junior who has cerebral palsy and can’t control her body movements.

“If you saw her, you would think this would never work because her body is moving all the time” says Kindy Segovia, the district’s assistive technology coordinator. “But with eye-gaze technology, she communicates completely independently.”
