Collaboration ensures school readiness for Native students
The National Indian Education Association, Communities in Schools Mid-America, Inc., and Wichita and Affiliated Tribes of Oklahoma are collaborating on a four-year school support project for tribal students in the Anadarko Public Schools. PBLWorks has launched PBL School Leader Networks with two-year training programs that bring principals and school leaders together to support project-based learning implementations. The programs include workshops, online coaching, school site visits and a peer network.
Curriculum inspires design thinking and saving the environment
Camp Invention, a program of the National Inventors Hall of Fame in partnership with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, teaches children about intellectual property. In the 2020 program, Elevate, children will explore the principles of flight, design their own sports facilities and protect ecosystems.
