When students are provided an opportunity to publicly share their knowledge about something they have learned, they are given more opportunity to take ownership of their work. It demonstrates that it has value, and many also see their self-esteem increase as they take pride in their work and their sharing. Authentic public presentations of learning may also lead to increased student engagement.
