A Colorado educator is taking over for retiring Superintendent Jon Andes.
Jerry Wilson, superintendent of Colorado's Poudre School District, will replace Andes as superintendent of Worcester County public schools on July 1 pending certification approval from the Maryland State Department of Education.
"We were impressed with his credentials and his responses to our questions, and felt that someone who's been a superintendent in three different jurisdictions could help merge our existing staff and take our school system to the next level," said Bob Rothermel, president of the Worcester Board of Education.
