United Arab Emirates giving to Sandy-hit New Jersey schools

The money will be used to improve technology in districts including Highlands, Union Beach and Brick, said Yousef Al Otaiba, the Middle Eastern nation's ambassador to the United States.

"We truly hope this helps the people of New Jersey," Al Otaiba said Monday outside Highlands Elementary School.

The money will directly go to the Hurricane Sandy New Jersey Relief Fund, a charity headed by the governor's wife, Mary Pat Christie.
